SH5 Campaign Goals

Anyone know what is meant to happen when you complete a campaign goal? Does it unlock some part of starting a new campaign, or should you get some points for it? I have completed the 50,000 tons goal and now I have a new goal, but not sure if that's just time related (relates to the invasion of Norway) or if it's cos I completed a goal.

Could be either way. In the case of the invasion of Norway, its time related...

OK, I get it now. The smaller goals 'add up' the iron crosses until the main campaign goal is met.

Ya, I only finished 50K goal sofar, am at 18K for the 100K one and managed to bag me an Glorious for the blockade goal. Boy, she was surrounden by 9 DD's I think. The best thing of all is I started playing SH5 on manual targetting - first time ever - so I was thrilled to see 3 torps of 4 hit from 3KM distance and she sank pretty quickly (I had some practice on the previous 50K goal, missed alot hehe, mostly firing torps behind my targets). I managed to get my torps between 2 DD's and they didn't see them (I waited for nightattack). It wasn't all too difficult though in the end, because the task force was doing only 15 kts and the DD's are too stupid, plus I don't have full realism settings just yet though (contacts + external view). That's still a bit too difficult, but getting there

The 100K one is a bit more difficult. Why oh why do I always run into the massive task forces when I am out of torpedoes. It always happens! When I do run into a small TF, I always think, I need a bigger boat with more torpedoes... with my fleet boat I could shoot two torpedoes into 5 ships (theorhetically). I miss my big fleet boat with its million torpedoes. And external reserves - that's a desperate design change!
